For the record, I bought my first Uniden scanner in the 1980's, have held or do still hold Amateur, GMRS, and Business Band radio licenses, and I managed a radio system with 2 mountaintop repeaters, 5-6 base stations, about 70+ portable and about 25-30 mobile radios.

If Uniden decides not to produce a SDS250 then it would be a viable idea for me to replace the SDS200 with a SDS150 and connect to a smart phone via BT. That doesn't have to be my "main" smart phone as I don't think that internet connectivity is a requirement.
Uniden does not post what changes are in the firmware until the firmware is accessible. The P2's are not listed at this time. I just updated one of my SDS200's it is now Showing 1.23.15 and 1.03.5 I just updated one of my SDS100's it is now showing 1.23.15 and 1.03.5 I will see how they act now.
